Client: Flancer's

Technologies: MICROS, Netgear Switches, SonicWALL Routers

Challenge(s): As a small business, Jeff Flancer, owner of Flancer's cafes must ensure business runs smoothly and as efficiently as possible. Flancer's accepts credit card payments which subjects them to the PCI compliance standards. One of the physical PCI requirements for business networks requires the separation of various networks keeping the secure credit card data network separate from the business and public network. To optimize the business the opportunity to join the multiple locations into a single WAN was also desired.

Solution(s): The creation of three separate networks at each location was completed creating six individual networks. The business networks were then joined using a VPN tunnel allowing cafe-to-cafe communication. The MICROS systems were modified to create unique individual networks as well providing future opportunities for inter-networking.

Client: Kilroy Realty Corporation

Technologies: NetMotion Wireless Mobility XE

Challenge(s): Remote access to the KRC network was provided by Kilroy using multiple technologies; yet none of the technologies provided a seamless method for users to access the network resources at all times. The solution preferably required no user knowledge of on site/off site access but rather simply 'worked.'

Solution(s): Using the NetMotion Wireless Mobility XE software VPN solution KRC was able to create a singular VPN solution that was seamless for the end-users. Regardless of where the user was located (inside or outside the network) when the client logged into their machine, they were able to access network resources. The VPN client authenticates the user without their knowledge and switches between the VPN client and the local network automatically.
